The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex air freight operations, ensuring operational excellence, optimizing shipment execution, and maintaining strong relationships with airlines, overseas agents, customers, and service providers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in air freight forwarding operations, strong knowledge of international air cargo procedures, airline coordination, IATA standards, customs processes, and the ability to handle key accounts and high-volume shipments while maintaining the highest service standards. Key Responsibilities Senior Air Freight Operations Management Manage the complete air freight shipment lifecycle from booking confirmation to final delivery. Handle complex import and export air cargo shipments, ensuring smooth and timely execution. Coordinate with airlines, GSSAs, overseas agents, ground handlers, trucking providers, and customs brokers. Monitor flight schedules, cargo availability, transit times, and operational performance. Ensure proper planning and execution of shipments according to customer requirements. Provide solutions for urgent shipments, operational challenges, and service disruptions. Supervise and support junior operations team members when required. Airline & Partner Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, overseas agents, and logistics partners. Negotiate operational solutions regarding capacity, routing options, and shipment requirements. Coordinate with international partners to ensure smooth origin and destination handling. Monitor airline performance, service quality, and operational commitments. Stay updated on market changes, airline schedules, capacity developments, and industry trends. Documentation & Compliance Ensure accurate preparation and review of all air freight documentation, including: Air Waybills (AWB) Commercial Invoices Packing Lists Shipping Instructions Customs Documentation Certificates and Regulatory Documents Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, airline requirements, customs regulations, and company procedures. Maintain complete shipment files, operational records, and performance reports. Ensure proper handling of special cargo requirements when applicable. Customer & Key Account Support Manage operational communication with key customers and strategic accounts. Provide proactive shipment updates and professional solutions to operational issues. Ensure high customer satisfaction through reliable and transparent service delivery. Support customer retention and business growth through operational excellence. Participate in customer meetings and operational reviews when required. Internal Coordination & Process Improvement Work closely with Sales, Pricing, Customs Clearance, Finance, and Management teams. Support pricing activities by providing operational insights, airline options, and cost optimization solutions. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce service failures. Monitor operational KPIs and recommend improvement actions. Ensure accurate shipment updates through Freight In digital systems and operational platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Air Freight Operations within an international freight forwarding company. Strong experience handling international air import and export shipments. In-depth knowledge of airline procedures, IATA standards, and air cargo documentation. Experience dealing with airlines, GSSAs, overseas agents, and customs brokers. Strong understanding of Incoterms®, customs procedures, and international trade regulations. Proven ability to manage key accounts and complex shipments. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and freight management systems. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
